The Angel Gabriel Came Down To Me

Thank you for your comments on the last post. I'm pleased to report I've now had a good night's sleep and come to my senses.

Murph was right. It normally doesn't take me my whole lunchtime to compose a post. Just that yesterday I had my serious hat on.

From now on, weekdays will be devoted to light, frivolous ten minute posts. The heavy, meaty, serious stuff ("no comments") I shall reserve for weekends.

There, I feel so much calmer now.

I've just received the following email from Amazon:-

Good for you! Be firm. Don't let them bully you into buying all this Genesis stuff. Just tell them to 'Foxtrot Oscar'.

  2. With reference to the first bit of the post - see, folks, this is what I have to put up with at home. Him changing his mind about things every five minutes like a girl.

  3. Betty, how do you put up with it?

  4. Is "No!" another prog rock incarnation Geoff?

  5. Chris - Welcome. I won't succumb. Though at 89 quid it is very tempting.

Betty - Like Bobby Brown, it is "my prerogative".

MJ - I suppose because I'm so handy at those DIY jobs.

Murph - No! were the band Yes original guitarist Peter Banks formed when he was sacked. The exclamation mark was a sign of anger and bitterness as opposed to in WHAM! where it was a sign of youthful vigour.

  6. Just say No to Yes.

  7. I've already said "Yes", Billy. I'm a lost cause. They've dragged me down into the depths of their Topographic Oceans. I went too Close To The Edge. Which, incidently, is the title of Bono's debut solo album.

  8. *Light and Frivolous* -
Surely there's nothing more seriously worrying than the concept of £88.98 for Hybrid Genesis.
Can we go back to pies in the skies please.

  9. Just what exactly is Phil Collins a hybrid of? I know he's part one of those annoying seaside monkeys. What's the other half?

  10. £89?

And it doesn't even have Invisible TOuch on it!

    Tch.

  11. Follow You Follow Me is on Disc 6, though.

It's worth it just for that.

Someone bald and annoying no doubt. He's a good drummer though, our Phil.

  13. If only he'd stayed behind his kit and kept his mouth shut...

  14. Tell them you prefer Exodus (Bob Marley) to Genesis.

When I was 18, a guy tried to impress me by playing me the (at the time) complete works of Genesis. Aversion therapy! I now avoid Genesis and their imitators.
