Radio Times

I'm too honest for my own good.

On Tuesday I had an email from a BBC Radio 4 researcher. He said how much he enjoyed my dream blog. He asked me if they were authentic dreams.

I couldn't tell a lie. I got back to him admitting they were made up. I didn't hear from him again.

If any of you listen to Radio 4, I would be most grateful if you would let me know of any programmes in the future about people who actually have dreams that are funnier than the comedy cack** they usually churn out.

Also I would be grateful if you'd tell me if they replace Thought For The Day with Geoff's Dreams.

** admittedly I only hear previews of such cack just before the morning news at 6.30 a.m.

  3. A belated happy birthday to you Geoff.
Did it really turn out to be that quiet for you in the end, or did Missus Geoff surprise you with a do filled with:
    sex / drugs / rock'n'roll*

    *delete as applicable.

  4. There's currently a sitcom involving Gyles Brandreth, failed 80s standup Nick Revell and the nanny from Spooks. It's a fucking nightmare. Is that the sort of thing you made.

(It even loses its sole possible redeeming feature by being on the radio, which means there's no chance of the nanny having a gratuitous naked moment.)

  5. "mean", not "made", obviously. And there should be a quezzy in there.

    Sorry. Blame the cricket.

  6. Istvanski - Quietly middle-aged as I had to get up early on Thursday.

Tim - That's the sort of thing. I wish they'd just concentrate on the news that early in the morning.

  12. If you need a real laugh in the morning check out CNN's AMERICAN MORNING!
As the self appointed centre of the universe we outsiders are made 'hip' to what's happenin' to the most important human beings in history...it really is a scream.

During a lull in the debate about legalising marijuana for ceremonial purposes during same sex wedding celebrations if the participants are gay Quebecois separatists I asked the Speaker of the House if he had read Geoff's Dream Blog and he said
    "who wants to know!?"
    Co-inky dink? I think not!
